Two Allegany County Christian organizations are joining together for monthly Community Worship Services, with a second gathering scheduled for Sunday night at Wellsville.
Mission Genesee Valley (MGV) coalition of churches and other Christian organizations in Allegany and Upper Potter, Pa., counties and the Wellsville Area Ministerial Association (WAMA) are co-hosting a public assembly from 6PM to 7:30PM, March 19, at the Wellsville Bible Church at 2908 Andover Road (State Route 417 East).
The service, with musicians from at least four different area churches, will include a brief message about what worship really is.
This is the second in a series of gatherings being planned monthly, according to church Pastor Dan Kenyon, who said the first session in February was “very well-attended,” with requests for additional services.
A third is being planned for Sunday, April 2, at Yorks Corners Mennonite Church at 3350 County Road 29, Wellsville,.
Kenyon, who also heads both Christian organizations, said the “primary purpose of these services is to build unity among Christians in our area by worshiping together.
“We realize that lack of unity is one of the major hindrances to real revival and we hope and pray that these services will help to remove that barrier,” he said.
