
The Angelica Fire and Rescue crew recorded the above scenes from Buffalo as firefighters and equipment were dispatched to assist in that city, one of several Allegany County, NY, departments which have aided rescue operations during the past two storms this winter. In the meantime, Buffalo area residents are questioning the emergency response to last weekend’s storm which currently accounts for more than 30 deaths and the potential of more as the National Guard goes door-to-door checking on individuals.

One Allegany County thread from the Village of Canaseraga information forum seems to ask some of the same questions as to what are the county and town and village plans for mass emergencies and how are they publicized and to whom, with no apparent known response to the question.
Over 3,000 Allegany County locations were without power at the height of the weekend storm, many struggling for hours in the midst of sub-zero wind chills.
