At least six dozen new spots have been opened for a Saturday, April 22, rabies vaccination clinic in Belmont after the Allegany County Health Department initially exhausted available appointments earlier this week.
The event is being held from 9AM to noon at the Genesee Valley School bus garage at 1 Jaguar Drive, with mandatory registration by Thursday, April 20, online at https://bit.ly/417lHkO or (585) 268-9251.
The drive-through clinic is open for dogs, cats and ferrets which are three months, or 12 weeks, and older.
Additional clinics, with forthcoming registration links, will be held on Saturdays:
– June 17: Centerville Town Highway Department.
– August 5: Willing Town Highway Department.
– September 23: Genesee Valley Central School.
A quarterly Electronics Waste and Television Collection, free for county residents, also is being held from 8AM to 3:30PM on the same day at the Belmont Transfer station at 6006 County Road 48, north of the school.
