Allegany County west now under Winter Weather Advisory

BREAKING: A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued by the National Weather Service (NWS) at Buffalo for Allegany County west, extending one which has been in effect since yesterday for Steuben County east. The NWS at State College, Pa., also has projected the same previously-issued Advisory for Potter County west to McKean County and beyond.

The new Advisory for Allegany County extends until 1PM Monday, with a higher amount of snow now being forecast for most of the northern portions of the county, as shown on the map accompanying this story.

Our inset, from the NWS at Binghamton, shows current snow projections for Steuben County east. A NWS State College map for northern Pennsylvania is unavailable for comparable times.
