Two Allegany County legislators have been appointed to standing committees of the New York State Association of Counties (NYSAC).

Janice Burdick of Alfred Station, who chairs the county’s Human Services and Budget Committees, has been named to the state organization’s Medicaid and Human Services Standing Committee, with Adam Cyr of Bolivar, vice-chair of the county’s Public Safety Committee being selected for the NYSAC group with the same name.
NYSAC represents all 62 counties in the state, communicating the recommendations of county officials to New York lawmakers. Positions are developed through its 13 standing committees.
Legislator Dwight Fanton of Wellsville chairs the organization’s Transportation and Public Works Committee and County Treasurer Terri Ross is vice-chair of its Taxation and Finance Committee.
