The US National Weather Service Buffalo NY says this morning that:
“It’s amazing what you can see on satellite. Radiation fog tends to form first in river valleys. We’ve labeled just a few of the many river valleys where fog has formed this morning.
“Be careful if traveling, fog may be locally dense – especially in those river valleys.”
As previewed yesterday for today and Saturday morning, the patchy dense fog, which can create unexpected dangerous conditions, is in the Southern Tier of New York again this morning, with a DENSE FOG ADVISORY also having been issued for counties to both the east and south of Allegany County.
Allow extra time for the morning commute, with the impact expected to burn off by 9AM as sun starts to emerge for the day, with high temperatures reaching around 80.
