Top seniors of the 2023 graduating class were designated today by Andover Central School.

Morgan Satterlee, daughter of Kimberly Ward and Jessie Jaycox and Adam Satterlee, has been named valedictorian, with Will Kent, son of Ed and Betsy Kent, the salutatorian.
The valedictorian, a member of the school’s National Honor Society, is a student in a college-level art course at Alfred University.
She has been awarded the Bausch and Lomb Honorary Science and the Frank McKibben awards, along with being involved with her community as a volunteer at the Andover Free Library and the Andover Haunted House.
Satterlee plans to attend Alfred University in the fall.
Kent also is a member of the National Honor Society and been enrolled in a college-level art course at Alfred University where he intends to become a student in the fall, majoring in art.
Son of Ed and Betsy Kent, he already has received numerous awards in the arts, including the Scholastic Art Gold Key Award for his senior art portfolio, Prescription of Portraits, and the Silver Key Award for his digital artwork, Objective Vision.
This year, his digital art, Seams in the City, was selected for the Arts High School Exhibition at the St. Bonaventure Regina A. Quick Center and he received an honorable mention for his digital submission to the Wellsville Creative Arts Centers high school exhibition.
He currently is painting a mural, The Thinker, which will be displayed in the halls of the school in the future.
Kent has been part of the soccer, basketball, and tennis teams, and also a member of the drama club throughout his high school career.
