The ribbon went flying this afternoon at the new Jones Memorial Hospital Andover Primary Care facility as several dozen individuals, including Congressman Nick Langworthy, gathered for a grand opening ribbon cutting ceremony.

The new facility, located in the former Maier’s Market at 51 Main Street, actually opened the end of June, with the grand opening today.
Hospital President James Helms, who grew up in Andover, called the process of converting the former grocery into a medical facility a “transformation to reality.”
Dr. Kevin McCormick, hospital chief medical officer, commended the effort as leveraging expertise and resources to make the project happen.
Langworthy, who expressed concern over much of the federal pandemic monies having been focused on New York City, said the action has left the metropolitan hospitals “flush with cash” while rural Upstate facilities are struggling.
The Congressman took a tour after the ceremony of the $25 million renovation and expansion project currently underway at Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville.
