Art exhibit, children’s music groups scheduled for this weekend

An art exhibit and two student musician performances are scheduled in three area communities this coming weekend.

The free public activities will include a 2PM to 5PM Saturday, May 4, Reflections exhibit by artist Adrianna Taylor at The Fountain Arts Center Galley at The Belmont hotel at 40 Schuyler Street (State Route 19), Belmont.

The exhibit features a variety of pieces, ranging from vibrant paintings to delicate drawings and prints, along with fabric collages and hand-made paper pieces.

Although currently residing in Virginia, where she helps run a pottery shop and studio, Taylor attended Alfred University, where she studied fine arts and art history.

The exhibit is part of The Fountain Arts Center Artists Among Us project which features the work of selected artists at several sites throughout Allegany County.

The exhibit will be followed from 6:30PM to 7:30PM Saturday night by a Spring Into Music concert at the Wellsville Presbyterian Church, 68 North Main Street.

The Fountain Arts Center Youth Choir, under direction of Amanda Robbins and Shelly McGraw, and its Strings Ensembles, taught by David Peralta, will perform.

Both groups also will present at 1:30PM Sunday at the Bennett’s Creek Bible Church at 3740 State Route 248, Canisteo.
