An annual art show, officially opening tomorrow in Wellsville, will highlight the talents of those with developmental disabilities as part of an observance of March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month.
The Arc Art 2023 exhibit, provided by The Arc of Steuben-Allegany, will be previewed during a 10AM to 11:30AM March 8 informal coffee reception at the Wellsville Creative Arts Center, 124 North Main Street, where the display will continue through Saturday, April 1.
In addition to the more than 25 canvases on display, the event will feature the Arc Angel Dancers performing at 10AM.
The organization’s self-advocates also are drawing attention to different disabilities each Friday during the month by encouraging the wearing of a different color reflecting various personal conditions.
