Breakfast and lunch summer meals sites open for children and youth in Allegany and adjoining counties

Dozens of summer meals sites for children and teens have opened for up to five weeks in dozens of locations in Allegany and neighboring counties in New York and Pennsylvania, with thousands more nationwide.

At least 16 sites in county schools, libraries, a youth center and a church are providing free lunches and, sometimes, breakfasts to those 18 years-and-younger, for up to a five-week period, with some locations already having opened.

Some meal offerings are being held at sites in conjunction with additional, optional summer activities for children and youth. There are no income requirements.

No registration is required for the annual U.S. Department of Agriculture-funded initiative, with a map of available locations and weeks, days and hours of operation for local sites and those throughout the country available at, or by calling (866) 348-6479.
