Allegany Hope has expanded its new, exclusive Allegany County Community Calendar of Events, which we introduced last week, by more than three dozen primarily free activities throughout Allegany County, with a link to over a dozen more.
Some of these listings include:
— Distribution of $25 Senior Citizen Farmers Market Coupon Books by the Allegany County Office for the Aging.
— Community Concert series in Cuba, Fillmore and Wellsville.
— Family events at Fillmore and Wellsville.|
— A car show, a Town Hall meeting with State Senator George Borrello, and an Elder Scam and Fraud Prevention Clinic in Belmont.
— A Communities Garage Sale in Fillmore, Hume, Rossburg and Wiscoy, hosted by Rev-UP Hume.
— Youth Introduction to Art Workshops at libraries in Angelica, Cuba, Friendship, Richburg and Scio.
More activities are being added on a daily basis, as they become available, and we are continuing to make improvements to this feature so check back on a regular basis to see what activities are included in our focus of Building Healthy Communities Through Healthy FamiliesTM.

In addition, please pass on this information link to family and friends so they won’t miss out on these opportunities.
In the meantime, organizations can continue to submit information directly to us at AlleganyHopeWNY@outlook.com, including:
– Name of Event.
– One or two sentences about what it is.
– Times, both starting and ending.
– Dates, including day(s) of the week.
– Location, including full address of both state or county highways and their commonly known names.
– Sponsor, including their Facebook link, if available.
– Website on which the event may be published.
– Contact name, email and telephone number for additional information.
– Cost.
– Any mask or other requirements and whether the event is handicapped accessible.
If all of this information is not provided, we may not have time to try to find it, resulting in the activity not being published.
By primarily free, we mean there is a significantly free component in which an individual or family doesn’t have to buy something to obtain the free component, thereby making an activity available to persons of all incomes.
We sometimes will publish activities for which there only is a nominal materials charge. This must be clearly stated.
During the next several weeks, we also will be posting more free resources to our website which will serve as its own community information source.
Suggestions for improvements in what we present are always welcome by emailing us.
Take part in this effort by helping one another learn and grow through becoming an Allegany Hope information Ambassador as we pursue efforts for Building Healthy Communities Through Healthy FamiliesTM.
Volunteer Ambassadors assist in various areas of need which you, yourself, may have identified and have a passion for as it relates to greater community awareness, education and action that leads to positive impact.
