Catch up on the news for the past week

As reported last Sunday, Allegany Hope has transitioned our full local news coverage from our Facebook page to this website due to information being easier to read, prior stories being searchable, and ongoing modifications at Facebook which are making it more and more difficult to use.

We now are providing a link from our Facebook page to stories published on this website and also are publishing links to stories from other media to our Facebook page which may be of interest to our readers.

Check out our Facebook page at https://bit.ly/3AoYZu7 to obtain a flavor of what we are providing, bookmark both sites for easy access each day or during the day, and let family and friends know about these changes and where they, too, can obtain information which may impact them but can be difficult to find elsewhere.

Our focus at Allegany Hope, both on Facebook and this new, easier-to-read and use Community News and Calendar website, is toward Building Healthy Communities Through Healthy FamiliesTM.

This focus includes providing information of value to our readers and encouraging individuals and families to help one another, one way of which is to join in our free community Information Ambassador initiative.

Volunteer Ambassadors assist in spreading the word about various areas of need which you, yourself, may have identified and have a passion for as it relates to greater community awareness, education and action that lead to positive impact in all areas of everyday life.

Facebook only brings a small portion of information to individual News Feeds, based on algorithms it solely determines. Therefore, you may miss items that are the most important to you without reviewing our Facebook page and website on some type of regular schedule.

If you have possible story ideas you would like to make us aware of, please contact us.
