Community meal and parade Saturday in Wellsville

A monthly free community meal will be provided on the back terrace of the David A. Howe Public Library in Wellsville tomorrow, preceded by a Pilot Parade which is being held a week in advance of the Great Wellsville Balloon Rally and Main Street Festival.

The Yorks Corners Mennonite Church will be serving this month’s picnic style lunch, which will be moved to the Wellsville Creative Arts Center at 124 North Main Street in event of rain.

At 11AM, a Pilot Parade will be held on Main Street, a prelude to the balloon rally, scheduled from Friday night, July 21, through Sunday morning, July 23, with hot air launches every morning and evening, weather permitting, from Island Park on West Dyke Street.

On Saturday, July 22, the Main Street Festival, hosted by the Wellsville Chamber of Commerce, will occur from 9AM to 4PM, with merchant sidewalk sales, community resources exhibits, entertainment and more.
