Consumer alert issued for college and vocational student scams

The NYS Department of State Division of Consumer Protection is issuing a CONSUMER ALERT as college, vocational and graduate school students head to campuses.

Targeted scams are an issue for students, along with safety tips which can help during this transition.

Tuition, credit card, book purchases, roommate rental and other scams are among those which can create significant issues and losses.
