A new, free musical Artist Series will start next Saturday at Houghton University.
The four-session series will begin with Cousins Trio of Buffalo, shown in the photo accompanying this story, at 7:30PM, September 24, in the Center for the Arts Recital Hall, 1 Willard Drive.
Artist Series performances, for which there was an admission cost previously, had been suspended during the pandemic.
The Trio blends spiritual, Latin jazz, 60s and 70s pop, bossa nova and straight ahead jazz during its performances.
The concert will be followed on Friday, October 21, by Fabio Menchetti, a Houghton graduate and current assistant professor of piano at Washington State University.
The 198th Army Band in Rochester, will perform on Saturday, February 4, with a variety of music, followed by the Cecilia Ensemble choral chamber ensemble from Augusta, Ga., on Friday, March 24.
All three performances will be at 7:30PM in the university’s Wesley Chapel.
