Dinousaur Dig Show coming to Wellsville next month

Only 50 spots are available for a scientific exploration show next month in Wellsville which will highlight the world of dinosaurs.

Field paleontologists Mike and Roberta Straka, who take a team to North and South Dakota every summer to excavate dinosaurs will discuss the formation of fossils and herbivores vs. carnivores during the 3PM to 4PM, Saturday, November 12, presentation at the David A. Howe Public Library at 155 North Main Street.

The presentation will feature Mr. Nixon, an eight-foot Triceratops skull discovered by the team in 1996, along with an Albertosaurus skull highlighting the features of a carnivore, a Dinosaur Game Show with audience members, show and tell with rare and unusual fossils, a fun science experiment and a touch of magic.

A hands-on Dinosaur Dig will occur after the formal show.

Further information and registration are available at wellsville@stls.org or (585) 593-3410.
