A new series of Allegany County Town Hall meetings to obtain senior citizen input on elder needs will start in late August and extend into October.
The Allegany County Office for the Aging and Age-Friendly Allegany County will host 13 sessions in various parts of the county over a seven-week period, including a new evening general session next month which will include a Zoom participation option.
The expanded schedule adds to a format introduced last Fall, with comments received at that time being used to develop additional elder opportunities in areas of socialization, personal safety, accessing information and services, and healthcare.
Comments are being solicited in regard to what services seniors find to be important and helpful, along with those which are needed.
Noontime gatherings will include a complimentary luncheon when registration is made with the Office for the Aging at email@example.com or (585) 268-9390, or NYConnects at (866) 268-9390.
Remaining sessions have been scheduled for:
– Tuesday, October 11 – 11:30AM to 1PM: Andover Fire Department, 60 Main Street.
– Thursday, October 13, – 11:30AM to 1PM: Bolivar Fire Department, 460 Main Street.
