Town of Independence Bicentennial +1 Celebration – Whitesville

A five-day Town of Independence Bicentennial Celebration will be held Wednesday through Friday evenings, all day Saturday, and Sunday morning and noontime from Wednesday-Sunday, August 10-14, at Whitesville.

Many historical and family activities will be held, including a Wednesday night Whitesville Public Library Ice Cream Social, crowning of the Bicentennial prince and princess and king and queen, a period fashion show, and music at the facility at 500 Main Street.

A photo opportunity will be available throughout the multi-day event at the Sesquicentennial Jail, a former lockup currently being restored, located between the library and the fire department.
