BREAKING: The federal government is suspending Friday its distribution of free COVID-19 home test kits which it had been supplying through the mail.
A lack of Congressional funding is forcing the administration to transfer costs for supply to private insurance companies for those who have coverage.
The action comes as the number of new cases appear to be starting the fall-winter surge in Allegany County. New positives jumped more than 50 percent last week when compared with the week before and is at the highest level since the end of May.
Orders can be made through Friday at https://bit.ly/3Ra3aQk while supplies last.
