A Scio church and a support group for families with children with special needs will be hosting a free in-person and online retreat in two weeks for female caregivers experiencing all types of personal care situations.
The Friday night-Saturday respite event, offered by Doors of Hope ministry, will be held from 6:30PM to 9PM September 30 and 9AM to 3:30PM October 1 at Genesis Bible Church, 4193 State Route 19 South, Belmont (Scio).
The activity will include refreshments, a light breakfast, and lunch, with reservations requested by Sunday, September 25, at office@genbible.com or (585) 596-1119.
Female caregivers affected by disability or chronic illness, such as family members caring for a school aged or adult child, spouse or aging parent can attend all or part of the event, or participate through online videoconferencing.
The sessions will include sharing of streaming content from Rising Above Ministries, local stories of women who are caring for family members, and some uplifting crafts.
