Free food events Saturday at Wellsville

Wellsville area residents have two opportunities for free simple lunches and other family activities tomorrow in Wellsville.

Starting at noon, the third Saturday of the month free Community Meal will be held at the Wellsville Creative Art Center, 124 North Main Street.

The activity, often held across the street at the David A. Howe Public Library, will be hosted by Ardent Solutions.

From 1PM to 3PM, in the library auditorium, The Karate Kid, a PG-rated movie, will receive a free screening.

The Wellsville Central School Arts School also is being held at the facility through the end of May.

In the meantime, from 11AM to 4PM at Island Park in Wellsville, Aspire Hope NY will be hosting a Family and Community Mental Health Outreach Day, with free hot dogs, chips and beverages while supplies last.

Crafts activities, giveaways and door prizes, and local human services agencies also will be at the West Dyke Street site, with information provided about mental health and other services for individuals and families.

The Bath organization provides independent peer services and other supports to individuals and their families in the area to help them achieve wellness and develop natural supports.
