Friendship church to expand annual ice cream social to free community picnic and more

A Friendship church is expanding its traditional summer ice cream social this year to include a free community picnic, music, a bounce house, and games.

Followers of the Way – Nile Community Church will be joined by the Seventh Day Baptist churches of the Allegany Association in hosting a Stir & Spur event on Saturday, July 20, at its facility at 4094 State Route 275 South.

The church and the denomination, which observe a Saturday Sabbath, will start at 9:30AM with refreshments, 10AM with Bible Study, and 11AM with its Sabbath praise and worship service, with the message for the day to Stir one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, and Spur people on to do good works for Christ.

The community picnic will start at 12:30PM, to include the bounce house and games, with live music and the ice cream social to close out the day, starting at 2PM.

Area individuals and families are invited to attend all or any of the activities.
