
Some 50 carolers from Friendship churches and the community gathered tonight in front of the 1st UMC of Friendship to celebrate the Christmas holidays in song, one of several free events scheduled over the next two weeks in the hamlet.
Methodists were joined by the Bible Baptist Church Friendship NY 14739, Mission Agape, United Church of Friendship and Followers of the Way – Nile Community Church for the event, followed by refreshments in the church fellowship hall.
Upcoming holiday activities include:
— Tuesday, December 13 – 6:30PM: Friendship Central School Pre-K through 5th grade music students will present a concert, with a student Christmas Village also on display.
— Thursday, December 15 – 6:30PM: Friendship Central School sixth through 12th grade musicians will be in concert, with a student Christmas Village also on display.
— Saturday, December 17 – 10AM: The Friendship Fire Department will provide transportation to Santa Claus as he rides around the hamlet.
— Tuesday, December 20 – Noon: The Friendship Central School will provide a Christmas senior luncheon for district residents ages 60-and-above, with reservations required with Gail Bartas at (585) 973-2011 or the school at (585) 973-3311 by Friday, December 16.
— Thursday, December 22 – 6:30 PM-8:30PM: Christmas Sparkle families activity with games, stories and refreshments at The Carter House, 37 East Main Street, a community outreach center of the United Church of Friendship.
