Two Friendship churches will gather tomorrow for a sunrise service, followed by breakfast, as they celebrate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the head of the Christian Church throughout the world.
The United Church of Friendship and the 1st UMC of Friendship will gather at 7AM on East Hill, at the intersection of County Roads 31 and 31A, south of Friendship, with the public also invited to participate.
A free continental breakfast will follow at the 1st UMC of Friendship, 21 West Main Street, with its regular Easter service at 9AM.
The United Church of Friendship also will gather for services at 9AM, instead of its regular 11AM Sunday service, at The Carter House Community Ministry Center at 37 East Main Street.
The Experiencing God – Knowing and Doing the Will of God study, normally from 9:45AM to 10:45AM Sundays, won’t be held this weekend but will be available from 1:30PM to 2:30PM Thursday, followed by regular Community Prayer at 3PM.
The church’s new study, Flickering Flames – Christ & His Church, will be held from 10AM to 11:30AM Monday, with a Bible discussion on the Gospel of Matthew at the same times on Wednesday.
Each of the activities will be conducted at The Carter House, with both churchgoers and non-churchgoers invited to attend.
