Frost Advisory issued for tonight as alert to protection of sensitive vegetation and plants

BREAKING: A FROST ADVISORY has been issued for Allegany and most surrounding counties for tonight as patchy frost is expected to result from temperatures approaching freezing.

The National Weather Service (NWS) is alerting to cold temperatures between midnight to 7AM tonight, and through 8AM to the east and south, before they increase to around 40 degrees and above at night over the next week.

Frost could harm sensitive outdoor vegetation and kill sensitive outdoor plants if they are left uncovered, forecasters note.
