Hearing assistance devices available at Cuba Library

Devices which provide hearing assistance, particularly at meetings, now are available as part of the Library of Things at the Cuba Circulating Library.

The 39 East Main Street facility has four Pocketalkers which patrons can borrow in one-week intervals, with each kit containing the basic device along with a pair of headphones and earbuds and a 12-foot extension cable for the microphone.

The Pocketalker, a small device which amplifies sounds closest to the listener while reducing background noise, can be used during one-on-one conversations, in small groups and while listening to TV.

The devices also can be used at the library during meetings or programs.

Further information on this and other Library of Things services is available at https://bit.ly/3TsZw4C, cuba@stls.org or (585) 968-1668.
