
Hundreds of children and adults joined in today as multiple Allegany County churches and Christian organizations created the first Families Pavilion as part of the Wellsville Area Chamber of Commerce Main Street Festival.
The groups developed the children and families opportunity on Jefferson Street, adjoining the Main Street event which was part of the Official Great Wellsville Balloon Rally weekend.
In the bottom left of the top photo, members of the Hallsport Christian Church man a prayer station next to a mobile chapel developed by Photos for Souls of Alfred, which accepts new and used Bibles and Christian literature for distribution to people in other countries.
At right, Houghton College Director of Residential Undergraduate Admissions Rebecca Arnold provides hundreds of small prizes, along with t-shirts, in a participant game. The college became Houghton University this week.
In the bottom photo, children were able to enjoy a bounce house and other activities, including receipt of a balloon sculpture from Wellsville Full Gospel Church Pastor David Williams while Gil’s Hills Ministries Director Scott Szalay, in green, looks on in background.

Wellsville Bible Church, Yorks Corners Mennonite Church, Andover Alliance Church, the Wellsville Salvation Army – Wellsville, NY, and Allegany Hope also joined in the day of activities.
