Jones Memorial Hospital increasing urgent care hours, adds healthcare providers

Jones Memorial Hospital in Wellsville is expanding its Urgent Care Center hours and also has added a new pediatrics doctor to its staff.

Starting Monday, April 1, urgent care will be available from 11AM to 7PM, seven days a week, with Kereime Perese, NP, and Jessica Lippa, FNP, joining that unit and providing almost exclusive patient care to that center.

The facility also will be providing State Department of Transportation physicals and pre-employment screenings, by appointment only, at (585) 596-2042.

The hospital notes that its Urgent Care Clinic, located inside the hospital, across from its laboratory facilities, is for non-emergency related issues only, including coughs, abdominal pain, cuts, earaches, falls, sprains, infections, minor burns, rashes, sore throat and upper respiratory infections.

Emergency care is available at the Jones Memorial Emergency Department or by calling 9-1-1.

In a separate announcement, the hospital also has a new pediatrics unit doctor in its Women’s & Children’s Health Services Department in the facility’s new Medical Village.

Yoogeong Oh, M.D., received her medical degree from the Seoul National University – College of Medicine, after which she moved to the United States and undertook her residency at the Brooklyn, NY, Hospital Center .

Dr. Oh has been recognized for her research through the Overseas Medical Research Scholarship, funded by the Seoul National University College of Medicine. She also has led discussions on congenital hypothyroidism, neonatal sepsis, and asphyxia secondary to thick meconium aspiration.
