
WEATHER ALERT UPDATE: Southern Allegany County faces nearly an inch-and-a-half of rain through Monday, according to the US National Weather Service Buffalo NY, with most of the county being under a Marginal Risk of excessive rain designation from the NOAA NWS Weather Prediction Center
The accompanying map shows the heaviest rain in Western New York from this morning into tomorrow night being in the Southern Tier, increasing toward the Pennsylvania border.
Our insets from the NWS Weather Prediction Center show the areas with Marginal Risk of excessive rain over the two-day period which could lead at times to localized flooding.
Chances for rain will continue, not clearing out until mid-week, according to current forecasts.
