Help us to connect the dots and communities, and help yourself and your family, by becoming an Allegany Hope Information Ambassador.
We again saw the importance of a solid information network this past weekend with several days of changing snow forecasts and hazardous weather alerts in Allegany and surrounding counties, and the search for a missing vulnerable adult which, fortunately, ended well.
Getting emergency information out quickly and to as many people as possible is a focus for our Allegany Hope Facebook page and this new, easier-to-read Community News and Calendar of Events website.
Obtaining current information about community happenings, including free and primarily-free events, also is of importance in our focus of Building Healthy Communities Through Healthy FamiliesTM.
This focus includes providing information of value to our readers and encouraging individuals and families to help one another, one way of which is to join in our free community Information Ambassador initiative.
Volunteer Ambassadors assist in spreading the word about various areas of need which you, yourself, may have identified and have a passion for as it relates to greater community awareness, education and action that lead to positive impact in all areas of everyday life.
As we continue to become a primary news source which our readers can rely on, we literally have multitudes of stories which don’t appear in our news columns or our Community Calendar because we don’t have the capacity to research and gather all the information.
Community organizations, too, often fail to submit clear or any information about what they are doing which impacts individuals and families.
Become a volunteer researcher on a subject you have an interest in, a connector who lets us know what is going on in your community or organization, or a disseminator of information which can help family, friends and a community-at-large.
Join with us in helping to make a difference in people’s lives.
