More snow and wind across Allegany County today with Winter Weather Advisory continuing

BREAKING – TODAY’S SNOWFALL: The latest snowfall map and forecast discussion this morning from the US National Weather Service Buffalo NY shows from two to five inches of additional snow through late tonight, with wind gusts approaching or exceeding 30MPH during the daytime hours, for Allegany County, NY, depending on location.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY remains in effect for Allegany County, with a LAKE EFFECT SNOW WARNING for Cattaraugus County west, through 10PM tonight.

Snow bands, as we reported yesterday, now have moved south, with little or only a few inches more of snow forecast for the Erie County and other northern areas being predicted, as shown on the graphic accompanying this story.

“Plan on slippery road conditions” if traveling, according the the National Weather Service. “Areas of blowing snow could significantly reduce visibility.”
