The annual Allegany County Move A Thon in support of a Drug Free America will be held Saturday in Angelica.
The free Bob Weigand Memorial walk, run or ride event will be from 10AM to 11:30AM, October 1, at Village Offices at 21 Peacock Hill Road, with registration starting at 9AM and free t-shirts being provided while supplies last.
The event, hosted by the Allegany Council on Alcoholism and Substance Abuse (ACASA) and Partners for Prevention in Allegany County (Ppac Central), honors Weigand, a Wellsville radio station manager and news director, who also was involved in many community organizations. He died in 2007.
