A new children’s playground at Scio Central School has opened for ages five-to-12.
The Vandermark recreation site became available for use today, one of three being constructed under a district capital improvement project, with the other two slated for completion next month.
They all are part of a $5.75 million construction initiative approved by voters last fall, with other components including heating, ventilation and air conditioning upgrades, classroom and other facility renovations, improvements to the transportation facility, and athletic field improvements.
