Now is the time to prepare for adverse spring and summer weather

Severe Weather Awareness Week, through Saturday, will provide an opportunity to take a look at understanding of and preparedness for adverse spring and summer weather.

Many wait too late to begin planning for themselves and family members, or ignore signs of dangerous weather potentials, including heavy rain, flooding, hail, winds and even tornadoes, until they happen.

The National Weather Service will be providing daily tips on types of adverse weather and precautions to take when there are Alerts and Warnings.
