Over 20,000 free online videos available today at Family Fun Day in Wellsville

Parents, caregivers and other adults will have an opportunity today to access over 20,000 free videos for children, youth and themselves during Family Fun Day in Wellsville, just one of more than a dozen free and primarily-free activities this weekend throughout Allegany County.

Allegany Hope will be at Family Fun Day from 10AM to 2PM at the American Legion at 23 Jefferson Street, offering information and free signups for the national RightNow Media @Work online series which includes opportunities for individuals and families, including videos about raising children and youth, marriage and families, parenting, men’s and women’s studies, conflict resolution, mental health and wellness, professional development, entrepreneurship, leadership, values and culture, spiritual development and more.

Business videos also available
Business videos provide assistance for individuals and couples, with presenters including current and former executives of a variety of well-known organizations, including HP, Coca-Cola, Pepsi, Walmart, Chick-fil-A, Hobby Lobby, Tyson and more.

Many of the offerings include teachings by pastors, Christian counselors and authors such as Living on the Edge radio host Chip Ingram, counselor and author Henry Cloud who co-authored Boundaries and many other popular self-help books, Licensed Professional Counselor Debra Fileta, pastor and speaker Gary Thomas, authors Tim and Kathy Keller, counselors and authors Les and Leslie Parrott, and sports figures Tony Dungy and Tim Tebow, among others.

Today’s Family Fun Day will include games; giveaways including reusable grocery bags, COVID test kits, thermometers, dental kits, and bike helmets; child passenger safety checks for vehicles; Help Me Grow development screenings which will provide a $25 gift card to participating families; a multitude of resources from more than a dozen organizations; a costumed dinosaur which will be available for pictures with children; and more.

Prescription Drug Take Back Day and other activities
During the same times, The Allegany County Sheriff’s Office is hosting its biannual Prescription Drug Take Back Day at both the Wellsville Fire Department at 40 South Main Street and the Friendship Fire Department, 7 Depot Street.

Individuals can dispose of their unused prescription drugs safely, with no questions asked, and keep them out of the hands of drug users, children and public water supplies during this drive-through event.

Also today is a multi-school student art show in Wellsville, both a rabies clinic and an electronics waste and television collection at Belmont, and additional activities.
