Today’s Pop-Up Pantry (PUP) free food distribution at the Wellsville campus of Alfred State College has been canceled due to the cold weather.
The schedule for first and third Wednesday distributions for the next five months, through June, other than one on April 29 which still is to be determined, also has been established.
Registration for Pop-Up Pantries opens online at 7AM on the Monday prior to the distribution at https://bit.ly/4b01jYj and is filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Unlike traditional food distribution programs, PUP events have no income restrictions.
Individuals and families unable to access the PUP registration can visit the ACCORD ACCESS Center for food assistance, at 84 Schuyler Street (State Route 19), Belmont.
ACCORD hours have been shortened through February 23, currently being open from 9AM to 3PM Mondays through Thursdays and closing a half hour at noon for lunch. It also closes at 11AM on PUP days.
PUP online registration forms are described as operating like sales tickets, allowing up to five food box registrations per driver or pickup person in a single transaction. If the driver or pickup person is also registering for a food box, they must be included in the ticket quantity for the selected pickup time.
Further information about PUP events and other food distribution is available at (585) 268-7605 x2.
Registration dates for future PUPs will be posted to our exclusive Allegany Hope Community News Calendar of free and primarily-free events for individuals and families in Allegany County and beyond, with a link on this webpage or at https://bit.ly/3AzhV9C.
If you are aware of events which are missing, please have the activities coordinator forward information to AlleganyHopeWNY@outlook.com or use the Submit an Event link on this website for publication consideration. Do not use Facebook messenger for event submissions.
