
EARLY ALERT: Forecasters are alerting to the potential for very cold weather Thursday night through Saturday for Allegany and neighboring Western New York and Southern Tier counties, with “wind chills expected to drop well below zero at times,” depending on location.
The National Weather Service NWS) at Buffalo is encouraging residents to get prepared as daytime temperatures fall into the 20s, starting Tuesday, and drop lower toward the weekend, with a Wind Chill Advisory possibly being needed.
