RG&E still out of service with communications and electric

Information from Rochester Gas & Electric (RGE) remained elusive this morning, as Allegany Hope Community News awaits details about restoration of power to nearly one half of the company’s accounts in Allegany County, including entire areas in Clarksville, Bolivar-Richburg, Genesee, and Friendship, along with other smaller areas throughout the county.

We had been advised at 7:43AM today by email from Alexis Arnold, New York communications manager for RGE, that “at this time, our crews continue to work to assess damage and restore power as safely and efficiently as they can. I will have an update for you by 9am.”

This was in reply to our voicemails to public information representatives just before 7AM.

At 9:34AM, in response to another of our emails, we are told that “I just got off a briefing call. I am working on the news release and will send it to you shortly and will call.”

We will update information as soon as we receive something.

The last information from the company in regard to its response was at 9PM Tuesday at https://bit.ly/3ScDtkU.
