Scio Bicentennial kicks off four days of activities next week

A vehicle cruise-in tonight will kick off a four-day Scio Bicentennial, with free participation and prizes for cars, trucks, tractors, motorcycles and kids bicycles.

Hot dogs, hamburgers, ice cream sundaes and other foods will be available, with proceeds going to Allegany County Cancer Services.

Town-wide yards sales are Friday and Saturday, with music, historical presentations and other activities scheduled.

Saturday games, followed by an evening parade and fireworks, will lead into a community church service and picnic on Sunday.
