Senior citizen concerns requested at Town Hall meetings starting Thursday in Fillmore

Senior citizen concerns will be the subject of the first of 13 Allegany County, NY, Town Hall forums which start Thursday in Fillmore.

The August 25 session, hosted by the Allegany County Office for the Aging and Age-Friendly Allegany County, will be from 11:30AM to 1PM at the Fillmore Fire Department, 24 South Genesee Street.

An additional 11 also will be held at the same times, with a free luncheon being provided for those registering by the day before at ofa@alleganyco.gov or (585) 593-9390.

The 13th session will be held from 5:30PM to 7PM, Wednesday, September 28, at the Crossroads Conference Center, 6087 State Route 19 North, Belmont, with a virtual Zoom option being available for online participation.

The multi-weeks schedule adds to a format introduced last Fall, with comments received at that time being used to develop additional elder opportunities in areas of socialization, personal safety, accessing information and services, and healthcare.

Comments are being solicited in regard to existing services elder adults find important and helpful, along with those which are needed.

The full schedule, including addresses, are provided on our Allegany Hope Community Calendar of free or primarily-free events from throughout Allegany County and beyond at our website at AlleganyHopeWNY.org.
