Severe weather appears in Allegany County, heading east

BREAKING: National Weather Service (NWS) Doppler radar indicates an unexpected severe thunderstorm having passed through the northeastern part of Allegany County within the past hour as it moves east.

No local alerts previously had been provided, although potential for heavy rain and gusty winds had been given by other forecast centers for Steuben County, along with Potter County in Pennsylvania east for this afternoon.
