SKYWARN Spotter trainings scheduled to assist National Weather Service

Allegany County residents and those in neighboring areas can assist the US National Weather Service Buffalo NY, this winter and during other seasons by becoming a SKYWARN severe weather spotter during online trainings starting tomorrow.

The Western New York sessions will be held from 7PM to 9PM Wednesday, November 2; Thursday, November 17; and Tuesday, November 29, along with in-person trainings in other parts of the forecast region.

Enrollment is available for those ages 18-and-older, with high school and middle school students also welcome to participate with an adult.
