Suicide prevention trainings being held in Wellsville and online

Allegany County residents will have two opportunities this month to learn how to help save the life of someone who may be suicidal.

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) will be conducting an in-person Operation Save training session from 3PM to 4:30PM Wednesday, September 14, at the David A. Howe Public Library, 155 North Main Street, Wellsville.

It also will hols a virtual session from 10AM to 11:30AM Monday, September 26, with online registration available at https://bit.ly/3L3Ge2Q.

Participants will learn about suicide prevention strategies for all populations, along with Veteran-specific risk factors and services available at the VA and in communities.
