Storm preparations
Prepare now for high winds and power interruptions, with the NWS urging that loose outdoor items be secured ahead of the storm.

“People should avoid being outside in forested areas and around trees and branches,” it warns. “If possible, remain in the lower levels of your home during the windstorm, and avoid windows. Use caution if you must drive.”

Another significant storm is possible this coming weekend, with potential for substantial snow and/or rain. It still is too early to determine details or possible impacts.
