EARLY ALERT: The weather forecast is for a “fine day” today for Allegany and surrounding counties, but it may be all downhill from there for the remainder of the Labor Day Weekend.
The US National Weather Service Buffalo NY provides the accompanying map for today but reports that a complex weather scenario then will support an increasing risk for showers and thunderstorms both tomorrow and Monday, with some Southern Tier counties south of Buffalo and Rochester potentially experiencing as much as two inches of rain by late Monday night.
The NOAA NWS Weather Prediction Center is forecasting a Marginal Risk for excessive rain for the entire New York-Pennsylvania region for both days, with a higher risk level chance to the west tomorrow and to the east, possibly reaching into the southeastern part of Allegany County, on Monday.
Therefore …. Be Aware. Be Prepared. Stay Safe.TM and continue to monitor for changes
