Winter Storm Warning to the west forecast to impact Allegany County

UPDATE: A LAKE EFFECT STORM WARNING now is in effect from 10AM tomorrow through 7AM Wednesday for Cattaraugus and Wyoming counties, which is expected to have a lesser impact on Allegany and primarily in its northwestern sectors.

As we first reported late last night as a Winter Storm Watch, the National Weather Service (NWS) has elevated the designation, with the projected pattern also having shifted more to the north.

Periodic periods of wind also are in the forecast, starting Sunday afternoon, with rain this evening turning to snow tomorrow morning as temperatures decrease.

Be Aware. Be Prepared. Stay Safe.TM and continue to monitor for updates to this snow event, regardless of location.
