Winter Weather Advisory ends, Wind Advisory continues until early afternoon

The Winter Weather Advisory for Allegany and Wyoming counties west has ended earlier than the 2PM original time today, but WIND ADVISORIES continue until that time in Allegany, and until 8PM in Steuben County east and 6PM in Northern Pennsylvania. A FLOOD WARNING continues until Monday afternoon for the Olean area.

The number for potential wind gusts at Wellsville could slightly exceed temperature highs today, according to the National Weather Service (NWS) at Buffalo, as shown on the maps accompanying this story.

Wind gusts were recorded at 46MPH between 7AM and 8AM Friday and hit 38MPH after midnight today.

Gusty winds are projected to go into a decline after the Advisory ends in Allegany County this afternoon but continue until the evening hours today, picking back up during the noontime to mid-afternoon hours on Sunday.
