Winter Weather Advisory issued due to freezing overnight rain

UPDATE: This Advisory has been extended until 9AM today (Tuesday) for Allegany, Cattaraugus and Wyoming counties.

Very slippery sidewalks, roads and bridges are possible. The hazardous conditions could impact the morning commute due to temperatures remaining below freezing.

BREAKING: A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued until 7AM Tuesday for Allegany, Cattaraugus and Wyoming, with a later start and ending times in adjoining New York and Pennsylvania counties due to freezing rain.

Slippery conditions will occur, with up to a tenth of an inch of ice accumulating in Allegany, Cattaraugus and Wyoming counties, with a glaze up to a few hundredths of an inch in others.

The Advisory will run until noon in Steuben County east, 11AM in Livingston, and 9AM in adjoining Pennsylvania counties.
