Winter Weather Advisory issued for late today until early Saturday afternoon

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY has been issued for Allegany County west and north, locally from 5PM today through 2PM Saturday, due to “periods of snow, sleet or freezing rain resulting in slippery roads and limited visibilities”.

The National Weather Service (NWS) at Buffalo is projecting up to a tenth of an inch of ice and two inches of snow during the alert period, with the greatest accumulations across higher elevations and timing and amounts also varying across Western New York.
